Ed Faruolo, Senior Consultant
Ed is a leading brand and
marketing senior executive, with an exceptional track record of creating
distinctive brand positions in the marketplace while influencing positive
cultural change. Most recently, Ed served Lincoln Financial
as Vice President of Advertising and Brand Development where he was responsible
for developing Lincoln’s external brand position while assuring alignment and
integration of all customer touch points with key brand messages and values. Prior to Lincoln, Ed ran his own brand
consultancy business (VitaLincs™
) where he helped develop advanced marketing curricula for Dow Chemical’s
high potential community, as well as a B2B brand education program for one of
Dow’s joint ventures in Kuwait. For 12 years, Ed was with CIGNA where his
last position was as Vice President of Brand Strategy and Integration. Ed led the strategic development and worldwide brand
transformation program that established the company as a tier one brand in the
health and related benefits category (including introduction of the Tree of Life brand identity and A Business of Caring brand
position). Ed has also held senior marketing
positions at The Travelers, where he repositioned the brand as a diversified
financial services enterprise through the You’re Better Off Under The Umbrella theme. He has also held significant client management
responsibilities on the ad agency side serving prestigious clients such as
Schering-Plough (Coppertone Sun Care and St. Joseph’s Children’s Medicine) and
Joseph E. Seagram. Ed holds a B.A. in Communication
from Seton Hall University and completed the Executive Marketing Management
program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. In addition, Ed chaired the Conference
Board’s Corporate Brand Council from 2002-06.
